Leslie Newby is the founder and CEO of WorkTheBrand (Brand Communications, Inc.), a strategic PR and marketing firm specializing in residential and commercial furnishings and design. Since 2005, she has built a reputation as a trusted industry partner, delivering results-driven marketing communications, advertising and media solutions.

With over 20 years of experience, Leslie leads WorkTheBrand with a focus on professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring every campaign delivers the right content to the right audience to drive measurable success. Her media wins include earned placements in Inc., Architectural Digest/AD PRO, Business of Home, Elle Decor, Design News Now, Interior Design magazine and more.

She has cultivated long-term client relationships with legacy brands like Ultrasuede® (since 2008) and High Point Market Authority (since 2015) while supporting emerging brands like Nathan Anthony (since 2015). Her expertise has also shaped major industry projects, including the Badgley Mischka Home launch and a U.S. relaunch of the Florence Broadhurst textile archive.

Beyond WorkTheBrand, Leslie serves on the Bienenstock Furniture Library board and has held leadership roles with Women in the Home Industries Today (WithIt) and the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC). She has also served as an advocate for local cultural and civic initiatives, including the Downtown Greenway, The Public Art Endowment, Greenhill Center for NC Art, and the Historic Magnolia House in Greensboro, NC.
